DIY Ludo Board Game Part 1

1/22/2013 07:04:00 pm

Most of my beloved fellow human beings like playing board games, with Ludo as the proper classic game! Unfortunately, often you only find games for four people - but what if your family or circle of friends is larger? Then you just make your own version for five people! I have split up this DIY into two parts, otherwise the amount of photos would be overwhelming!

1. Firstly, cut a hardboard (or other thin board) and paint, I chose beige.

2. If possible, sand the edges before painting. I had forgotten it and did it afterwards, but that was fine, too.

3. Use a board game or image as a template and draw the individual game segments on tracing paper. Use tape to put it into a shape in which you want the board game to be.

4. Now mark the middle of the board (chocolate cappuccine helps very well).

5. Jetzt das Spielfeld aufzeichnen mithilfe der Vorlage. Orientiere dich dabei an der markierten Mitte!

5. Now draw on the circuit using the template. Use the marked center as orientation!

I will share the second part as soon as I'm done - I just have to get wooden counters.

P.S.: I had to endure a wisdom teeth operation today - there are nicer things, believe me. As I don't want to hold my face in front of a camera in the next few days, great guest bloggers will cover for me. Be excited, I sure as hell am!

  18. Eek, wisdom teeth eh? I need to do the same sometime soon. I had an emergency extraction on one of them, so I only have three left, but one of them is definitely growing the wrong direction into my cheek. Hope you recover well and quickly!

Your blog is great and you have such great style! (I also love that you're blogging in German and English.) I'm following you now.

Also, my husband's photo agent is also named Katinka and I think it's one of the coolest and prettiest names ever!
