DIY Ludo Board Game Part 2

2/17/2013 03:46:00 pm

Here comes the (quite lenghty) continuation from the first part! We remember - the circuit is already drawn on with pencil!

6. Now colour in the individual circles. I chose white for the neutral ones, so they stand out from the beige background. Then, of course, every player gets its own colour for the other circles!

7. Then draw on a golden border around every circle for a nice effect.

8. As an additional decoration, I've put a flower in the middle that mirrors the individual players' colours. Also drawn a golden border.

9. As a last step for the board, paint the back with two coats. Then seal front as well as back with two coats of clear varnish each.

10. Now it's about the counters. Sand them first so that your colour wil stick to them better, paint them afterwards in your chosen players' colour and then seal with clear varnish. If some paint has been running, just remove that with a knife and then paint the bottom golden, too.

11. And you're (finally) done! I've been working for a few weeks on this as I always had to wait one day for the individual coats of paint to dry...but it was worth it! I'm going to give this to a friend for her birthday, I hope she'll like it.
