The Forest and Mum's Clothes
5/28/2013 04:10:00 pm
Again, I'm so happy that my mum and I share the same size - this polo shirt as well as the skirt have been hers! She made the skirt herself back then and I simply shortened it to my desired length. Isn't it great when clothes stay in the family (and it's like shopping for free)!
Don't be deceived by these idyllic photos - the mosquitos were like crazy in this forest and then there came the point where Aidan and I just fled head over heels. Seriously, we ran. Not very elegant! In tow we had my new bike which was a bike my grand-ma didn't need anymore and that we had picked up that day. So we were quite the funny group that ran through the forest!
Cardigan: Primark // scarf: second hand // shirt, skirt: hand-me-down from my mum // belt: New Yorker (came with this dress) shoes: hand-me-down from my great-aunt

ReplyDeleteI have some clothes from when my mom was younger. She had more, but I didn't like it when I was younger and she got rid of it. Now I wish I could look at it again because my style has changed. I love your shoes.
ReplyDeleteHi dear, this is such a wonderful location for photos, your outfit is so charming, love the pretty skirt.

I love your skirt and the setting is beautiful. I always say nature is AWESOME minus the bugs. Mosquitoes and spiders are probably the worst part of adventuring. At least these can't be seen in our outfit photos!
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely! I wish my mum and I were of the same size...you're so lucky :)

cuttee skirt :) x
ReplyDeleteI love this look! That skirt is such a neat pattern. I have a few items that used to be my mom's. It's fun to get hand-me-downs that are years old and have history to them. And ugh....mosquitos are the worst. They can definitely ruin a good photoshoot spot.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool that your mom made that skirt, it is beautiful! I got to steal or borrow some of my moms clothes while I was home for a visit too since we are around the same size :)
ReplyDeletethose shoes are beautiful! love them
ReplyDeleteYou look lovely, Kati! The skirt your mum made is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLucky you for sharing the same size as your mum! I wish it was the same with me and my mother, I'd be sporting some of her vintage gear, ha!

Schoen schoen schoen!
ReplyDeleteOoo! That skirt is just so gorgeous - I really love the pattern and how cool that it came from your mom!

That's sweet that you can share clothes with your mama :) My mom is always wanting to wear my clothes, but we're completely different sizes so it just will never work (only with sweaters maybe!)
