Here's an Idea: Felt Christmas Ornaments

12/02/2014 08:14:00 pm

This year I decided I wanted to decorate our place festively - at least a little bit. Since glittery stuff is - unfortunately - not the big hit in my house, I went for simple, not too kitschy felt ornaments. I found the idea on the Martha Stewart website and you can also find the templates there. You will need string (at the end I went for a different one than pictured), felt, maybe faux leather (again, I used my discarded bag!), scissors and glue.

Since the deer is tiny and fiddly to cut, I simply adhered it to the faux leather with glue. This makes it really easy to just cut around it without the template moving around! I left the colours simple and autumny as they were pictured on the website, I just liked it so much! Alternatively, you could also go into the 'cold' colours with black, light blue, white and maybe light pink. I'll make some more of these to use as gift tags!
