9 Months & Flower Headband DIY

5/21/2010 05:36:00 pm

Don't worry, I'm not pregnant! But, since yesterday Aidan and I are together for 9 months now and I'm amazed or horrified by how fast time flew by. I'm studying in my 6th term now and will soon be finished with my bachelor's degree (well, next february). Criminy!
But enough about that, today I have a little DIY for you: a headband made from a candle ring.

Du brauchst: einen Kerzenring mit Blumen, Gummiband, Bindfaden und Nähnadeln.

You'll need: a candle ring with flowers, elastic, thread and needle.

1. Take the candle ring to pieces and just keep what you want to have on your head band.

2. Cut off all unnecessary plastiv from the flowers.

3. Sew the fabric leaves on the place where you want to have your flowers later on.

4. Now sew the flowers on top of that. Because they stuck on little plastic studs on the ring, they have a hole through which you can easily sew them on. But, you're going to have to go through the plastic as well, so prepare for violent actions on your part and deflexion on the needle's part.

5. Now sew together the ends of the elastic, so it has the right length for your head.

6. Wear your selfmade head band with proud and joy.
