The goodie bag of the recent DaWanda summer fest featured, amongst others, this bag - handy, but a bit too plain for me. I only spent half an hour making it more interesting! I first cut out leaves from fake leather and then sewed them on with my sewing machine - that was quite a pain, but I'm so happy with the result!

Hey there! I am Larissa from consciouslifestyleofmine. On my blog I share plant based recipes, my personal style, reviews on organic cosmetics and thoughts about my journey towards a more sustainable lifestyle. I am super excited to be here on Almost Stylish today and I brought with me a versatile summer recipe – lettuce wraps.
I looooove lettuce wraps and I have them almost every day during the summer months. We all know that salad and greens are a must when eating a healthy diet, but, to be honest, I am not a huge fan of salad bowls and big green salads. However, I love to put whatever I eat into some lettuce leaves and wrap it : )

In this recipe here I am using green spelt for my wraps but you can easily exchange that with couscous, quinoa, rice, buckwheat, bulgur, or even noodles or (sweet)potatoes. So here is what you need for 2-3 people: 1 big head of lettuce, 200g green spelt (or couscous, rice, bulgur…), 100g corn, 200g chopped tomatoes (fresh or canned), coriander, cumin, sweet pepper powder, chili pepper and salt, 2-3 carrots

For the avocado sauce: 1 avocado, 200g vegan yogurt, 1 lemon pepper and salt, hot sauce to taste. Boil the green spelt (or whatever grain you are using). While your grains are getting ready, you can mix up the avocado with the yogurt and the juice of the lemon (in case you are not a huge fan of lemon try to use the juice of half a lemon first, and then add more to taste) in a blender or with a fork. Grate the carrots or shred for a few seconds in your high speed blender. When your grains are ready, add the spices (a knife tip of each of them), the corn and the tomatoes. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Now look for the biggest and most beautiful leaves of lettuce and wash those carefully. Add a little bit of your grains on each leaf, put some avocado sauce on top, and a few shredded carrots on top of the sauce. You can sprinkle some hot sauce over the carrots if you prefer it very spicy. Now just fold the wrap the way you would fold a normal bread-wrap. You can either eat the lettuce wrap right away or you can use some toothpicks to make sure it holds.

That’s it! Such an easy and delicious way to eat salad, isn’t it? I hope you enjoyed this recipe and I am sending loads of love to all of you : )

June went past at such a pace - and that marks one half of the year (and the currently last season of Game of Thrones, what do I do with myself now?). I'm quite looking forward to July and hope it'll only bring good.

I'm showing you two items today which are yet unknown to you: on the one hand, the green skirt that I snatched at a swap party, and on the other this blouse from Esprit (sold out online but luckily I managed to get mine at Karstadt). Once again, I was way too overstyled to get some falafel for dinner, oh well.
As much as I love these slim-cut skirts, I dislike the fact they show every chip that you have eaten too many. But hey, I'll never have that 90-60-90 body unless I fundamentally change something in my life and I neither want to go to the gym nor miss out on my vegan caked and chips!
Blouse: Esprit // skirt, necklace: from a swap party // bag: small shop in England // shoes: Deichmann

For more than two years now I have been eating plant-based (see blog post about that here), and bit by bit I am also switching all my cosmetic stuff - non-vegan items are not bought anymore, but I will use up the stuff I already have. This is why I wanted to show you my current hair routine - all vegan!
Since I am dying my hair, I like using ranges especially for coloured hair. I like the one from lavera (you can buy it cheaper here than in the store) and use a deep conditioner from alterra (available at Rossmann) every 2 weeks. For combing and for working the conditioner into my hair under the shower, I use the Tangle Teezer and am very happy!
It is a little weird with dm - many products are vegan but it won't say on the actual packaging. Hence I always check online beforehand what I can buy, surprisingly many Balea products are fine to use for vegans. I really like the Oil Repair series.
For styling, I like using the Balea dry shampoo for light hair. Before washing, I either use the balea hair oil or coconut oil, leave it in my lengths for about half an hour and wash it out under the shower - a true miracle worker! And because (unfortunately), my hair colour is not natural, I have to give it a helping hand - for over a year now, I do this with the Sante plant colour in natural red.
