Yesterday I was out and about again and did wear something. Yes. Recently I have been slightly obsessed with the new Lana Del Rey album. I guess you can disagree about her as a person, but I do really like the music. And now I'm wearing pink and leopard print in one outfit. What the heck...

Gestern war ich wieder unterwegs und habe dieses Mal zu bequemen Klamotten gegriffen. Eigentlich ist es ja zu kalt für Ballerinas. Aber uneigentlich sind das einfach mal die besten Schuhe, die je erfunden wurden. Es gibt kaum ein Paar was mir nicht gefällt, und so trage ich sie tapfer so lange es geht. Punkt.

Yesterday I was out and about and chose to wear comfy clothes. Actually, it is way to cold for flats. But truly, these are the best shoes that have ever been invented. There is hardly a pair that I don't like, and so I bravely wear them as long as possible. Full stop.

Wie versprochen gibt es heute Details zu dem Pferdedruck-Rock von gestern. Inspiriert wurde er von diesem Kleid. Im Grunde genommen, war der ganz einfach zu machen. Zuerst aus einem Schwamm eine Art Stempel basteln, diese dann mit Stoffmalfarbe einpinsel (probiert da vorher rum auf einem Stück Stoff wegen der Konsistenz der Farbe - die kann man mit Wasser verdünnen) und den Stoff stempeln. Perfekt werden wird es nicht, deshalb müsste ihr dann nochmal mit Pinsel und Farbe drübergehen und ausbessern.



As promised, I give you details about the horse print skirt from yesterday. It was inspired by this dress and beasically very easy to make. First, create sort of a stamp from a sponge, brush fabric paint onto it (try it beforehand on a scrap piece of fabric to find the right consistency of the paint - you can stretch it with water) and stamp the fabric. It won't turn out perfectly, so you will need to get over it again using a brush and paint.



Nachdem ihr die Stoffmalfarbe gesichert habt laut Anweisung (meist bügeln), einfach unten einen Saum nähen, oben einen Durchzug, Seitennaht zu, Gummi rein, zunähen, fertig. Und schon habt ihr einen tollen, einzigartigen Rock!



After you have secured the fabric paint according to the instructions (often it is ironing), just sew a seam at the bottom, a tunnel at the top, close the side seam, insert an elastic, sew closed, done. And as simple as that, you have a great, unique skirt!

Heute haben wir einen kleinen Trip in die nächste Stadt unternommen - rumbummeln, Kaffee trinken und Nähsachen shoppen standen auf dem Programm. Kein schlechtes Programm, wenn ihr mich fragt. Zur Feier des Tages habe ich einen selbstgenähten und -bedruckten Rock getragen, Einzelheiten dazu folgen morgen. Ich werde jetzt noch etwas arbeiten, an einem kleinen Projekt nähen und Kürbisauflauf essen. Euch einen schönen Abend heute!



Today we went on a little trip to the next big town - wandering around, having coffee and getting sewing supplies were on the agenda. No bad agenda at all, if you ask me. To celebrate the day, I wore a handmade and -printed skirt, I'll tell you details tomorrow. Now I'm off to get some more work done, start a little sewing project and eat pumpkin bake. Am Samstag sind wir zu meinen Großeltern gefahren zum Mittagessen (schön spießig, gell). Es war ein tolles Wetter, und die Sonne hatte sich endlich auch mal wieder blicken lassen. Den Cardigan habe ich in London in einem charity shop gekauft (wie auch den Rest) - 100% Kaschmir, und hat mich ganze 2 Pfund gekostet. Schnäppsche, oder was?



On Saturday, we went to see my grand-parents and have lunch with them. It was such a nice weather, and the sune had finally come out as well. I purchased this cardigan in London in a charity shop (as all of the rest) - 100% cashmere, and cost me a whole 2 pounds. Bargain, or what?



Die Kette hatte ich am Vorabend zusammengebastelt: ein lächelnder Fliegenpilz! Ich hoffe, ihr habt einen tollen Montag!

Wie ihr sehen könnt (oder auch nicht, wenn ihr per Reader lest), habe ich schon wieder einen neuen Banner. Ich finde es einfach so schwer, mich festzulegen, glaube aber dass ich nun das Richtige gefunden habe! Von dem Bild mit ausgeschnittenen Buchstaben...
