Nach langer Zeit wieder ein Projekt aus unserer Wohnung: diese Lampe war schon sehr betagt mit einem Papierschirm der dreckig und zerrissen war. Also erstmal ab damit!



After quite a while it's finally time for a project from our flat again! This lamp was already quite aged with a dirty and broken paper shade. First thing was to take this all off!





Als nächstes Stoff kaufen und falschherum um die Lampe wickeln, um die Maße zu bekommen. Oben und an den Seiten feststecken. Die lange Seite kann jetzt schon mit der Maschine genäht werden!

Next up, buy fabric and wrap around the lamp the wrong way round in order to easily get the measurements. Pin in place at the top and on the side. Sew together the side with your sewing machine.







Jetzt den Schlauch über die Lampe fädeln und mit Hand oben zusammennähen.

Now just pull the tube over the lamp's body and sew the top together by hand.




Da der Fuß auch kaputt war und das Beschwermaterial (=Beton) kontinuierlich rausbröckelt, habe ich die Lampe in einen Pflanzuntersetzer vom Baumarkt gestellt!

As the foot was also broken and the material to weight the lamp (=concrete) was continually crumbling and falling on the floor, I simply put it into a saucer from the DIY store!

Wenn man viele Bilder in unterschiedlichen Größen hat, stellt sich manchmal die Frage - wie hänge ich die nur auf, sodass kein totales Chaos entsteht und ohne, dass alles an einer Kante entlangläuft und langweilig aussieht? Keine Panik, Tante Kati hilft! Zuerst einmal an der Wand eine horizontale Linie bestimmen, die als Orientierung gilt, so hoch, wie man seine Bilder in etwas haben möchte. Dann mithilfe von Kreppband oder Washi-Tape und einem Faden diese Linie an der Wand markieren.

When you have several pictures of various sizes, you sometimes have a difficulty - how can I hang these, so that it doesn't look like a total chaos and without the upper edges lining up which would look boring? Don't panic, auntie Kati will help! Firstly, you want to determine a line which will be your orientation, just about as high as you want your pictures. Using washi pr masking tape and a piece of thread, mark this line on the wall.




Jetzt die Bilder messen, die Höhe durch drei teilen und eine kleine Linie am Bilderrahmen dort malen, wo das erste Drittel endet.

Now measure the pictures, divide the height by three and pencil on a little line where the first third ends.



Jetzt XXL-Posterstrips anbringen und das Bild mithilfe der Linien anbringen. (merke: diese Variante nur wählen, wenn die Wände dafür geeignet sind!)

Now adhere XXL poster strips and adhere the picture to the walls, using the lines. (note: only use this version of your walls are suitable for this!)




Mit allen Bildern so verfahren! Dadurch, dass sie alle vermessen wurden und das erste Drittel an der Fadenlinie an der Wand verläuft, hat man ein harmonisches Ensemble. Ist man fertig, kann man den Faden und das Kreppband entfernen.

Do this will all pictures. Because they have all been measured and the first third ends on the thread line, you have a harmonious ensemble. When you are done, remove the thread and washi tape.

Veggie Burger stehen gern mal auf unserem Speiseplan, auch wenn sie relativ aufwendig sind. Mittlerweile haben wir auch schon viele Rezepte durch und sind von diesem hier vom Oh She Glows ganz begeistert!

We love making veggie burgers at home even though they are quite a task to make. By now, we have tried many recipes and really like this one from Oh She Glows!



Wie man sieht, sind hier viele gute Sachen drin, die dann zwar vermengt nicht mehr so toll aussehen, aber leeecker schmecken!

As you can tell there are many good things in here that do not quite look as nice when they are all mixed but taste deliiiicious!




Zu einem guten Burger gehören natürlich auch Saucen. Als wie mal ein paar Freunde eingeladen hatten zum Burgeressen standen gleich drei verschiedene auf dem Tisch. Zum Einen eine Minz-Joghurt-Sauce, bei der Joghurt mit gehackter Minze, Tabasco, Salz und Pfeffer sowie Zitrone vermengt wird.

A good burger is only complete when there are sauces. When we had some friends over for a burger dinner, we had three different sauces on the dining table. For a start, a mint yoghurt sauce for which yoghurt is mixed with chopped mint, tabasco, salt and pepper as well as lemon.



Ebenfalls gab's eine Honig-Senf-Sauce, die mit Balsamico und Salz + Pfeffer verfeinert wurde.

We also had a honey mustard sauce that was seasoned with balsamic vinegar and salt + pepper.



Last but not least: Zwiebelmarmelade. Sieht eklig aus, schmeckt aber super! Dazu reichlich Zwiebeln fein schneiden, 10 min vorsichtig anbraten. Dann Marmelade (Johannisbeere oder Kirsche machen sich gut) dazu, ein Weilchen simmern lassen und abschmecken mit S+P.

Last but not least: onion jam. Looks disgusting but tastes superb! Finely slice a good amount of onions and carefully fry for 10 mins. Then add jam (blackcurrant or cherry is good for that), let it simmer for a while and season with s+p.

Die letzten Tage waren wirklich toll hier, und man konnte zeitweise auch ohne Jacke rausgehen. Das wird sich sehr bald ändern denke ich, echt zu schade! Dieses Outfit hatte ich am Wochenende zu einem Trip in den Supermarkt an - super bequem und kuschelig durch den weiten Pullover!

Als Vedette mich kontaktierte um zu fragen, ob ich eines der Lingerie-Teile zweimal stylen möchte, war ich erst skeptisch. Ich bin ja nicht der Dekolleté-Typ, und mir schien es etwas abwegig. Aber gut, ausprobieren schadet nicht! Hier also mein Day-Look, schön gemütliche mit Mütze und dem Sarah-Bustier:

When Vedette contacted me to ask whether I want to style one lingerie item two ways I was very sceptical at first. I'm not the cleavage type of gal, and it just seemed a little odd. But oh well, I thought I may as well give it a try. So this is my day look, comfy with a hat and the Sarah corset:
